Product Information

Console gaming's favorite perma-grinned marsupial once again faces off against his recurrent rival, Dr. Neo Cortex, to stop another evil bid for world domination. Crash Bandicoot: Mind of Mutant is a direct follow-up to the previous year's Crash of the Titans and uses many of the same ideas -- foremost being the ability to hijack mutant monsters. Crash can ride the monsters he 'jacks to otherwise inaccessible areas, or into battle against otherwise deadly enemies. Even when Crash is on foot, there are still plenty of baddies to spin out of the way, but Mind Over Mutant aims to provide a less combat-, more platform-focused experience than its predecessor. <br><br>There are over a dozen mutant monsters for Crash to commandeer, and each one has different special platforming abilities. Areas can be freely explored and revisited, allowing players to try different mutants and abilities throughout the game. A new function lets Crash keep his favorite mutants in his pocket and take them out whenever and wherever he needs them. The more a mutant is played, the more upgrades it earns, and Crash earns his own upgrades when he's without a mutant ride. Other debuting Crash abilities include wall-running, digging, and a new dodge-and-counter combat move. Crash of the Titans' two-player co-op action also returns in Mind Over Mutant.

    The first NES I got was, unfortunately, defective, although to be fair, it did look like it had probably been damaged during shipping. Resolving the issue was super easy. Big credit to the seller for responding to my messages immediately, sending me a replacement unit (which worked great), and sending me a label to send back the defective unit. The seller was cool about the whole process and immediately volunteered to make it right. Would definitely buy from them again.

    The last boss is the evil Dr. Cortex, and he's really easy to fight and defeat.

    It's my favorite game, because crash bandicoot is my favorite game series. It's been my favorite ever since I was a child, because my brother had crash bandicoot 2 cortex strikes back when he had a PlayStation. Also, it's a free roaming game.

    too good for its time

    This is a really good game. For its time it was really advanced as it has an open world where you can goo back and forth with your missions. Tons of side missions and Easter eggs that make you fo back to red game over and over. Doesn't matter that this game is over 10 years its still worth your attention
