This saved me a lot of money as I was recommended to buy a new alternator which was fine it's just the fitting of it is very very difficult and a garage would have charged several £100 in labour I was able to remove the alternator from its position and move it across in the engine bay to remove the old regulator and then replace it with this new one I did have to solder one bit buy an extension lead sorted this problem so if you have a problem with your alternator overcharging or undercharging check the voltage with a multimeter and it is likely just the regulator that needs replaced and this little gem done the trick
