This adaptor allowed me to connect a headset to my laptop via the USB socket, when it would not connect via the audio socket (mini-jack). The short cable means that it takes up less space on the side of the laptop than if it connected directly. I believe it is a well-made and useful piece of equipment.

Better than average USB audio adaptor.
It's plug and play under Windows and Linux. The flexible cable is more convenient than the solid USB adaptors I have used in the past as it allows you to use it at the front or rear of your PC. The only thing to remember is the microphone input is standard stereo (Tip/Ring/Sleeve) only. That should cover most devices though.

Ideal for a faulty internal sound section of your computer. Therefore it enables sound reproduction even though it's not the perfect answer !
