A piece of great history of the old west
this movie is perfect.iIt is exciting and it also explains the situation in the west when the Red Indians control some of the teriritories in the west.It is exciting and explains the situation between the red indians and the white people.dramatically.I learned a lot of history of the west.

Realism overload
Very true to the exact Indian ways. This movie is excellent, exciting much realism and proper weapons that the Indians used

Harris' man called horse; an awesome movie!
A true story of the early 1800's in beautiful widescreen mint. One of Richard Harris' best western films and a great buy!

The Sioux are human beings
Several years ago, the first time that I watched this film, I was so impressed by the story and especially how the Sioux were referred to – respectfully – as human beings. The story also includes an introduction into the Sioux culture, and provides a complete opposite of the Hollywood common portrayal of Indians as savages. This is a real classic film!

An Old But Good Movie
A little funky in places, but I still think it is a great story. Glad to have it in my western collection.

A Man Called Horse (the movie)
I had never seen this movie. It was recommended to me by a friend. Great recommendation! This movie was done over 40 years ago, and yet the story line is still as entertaining today as it was then. I really enjoyed the movie. I would definitely recommend this movie.

Older movies never seem to capture the essence of being Native American . If your a die hard westen fan you'll probably say it was ok
