A Little Chaos
Where has this jewel been hiding, and why had I never heard of it? I thought the story was great (sprinkled with history) and the scenes were visually spectacular. I love Kate, and Alan already so I knew it would be quality, but now add Matthew (don't ask me to spell his last name lol) to that list. British movies tick my box any day, but this little hidden treasure is a new favorite. The period costumes were beautiful, the acting wonderful, I can't find anything (except Alan's flamboyant hat) that I had problems with. If you love Pride and Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, etc., you are going to be so happy to have found this movie.

Very enjoyable
I love that it has a strong female lead. I also enjoy time period movies it's interesting to see how different things were then. Very enjoyable movie.

A LITTLE CHAOS produced beautiful VERSAILLES gardens
Weather fictionalized or fact based movie or factual documentary DVDs about Louis XIV as well as his successors Louis XV and Louis XVI/Marie Antoinette and Versailles from Louis XIV to the French Revolution in 1789 give a visual depiction of life was like at Versailles with its opulence and decadence and "isolation" from the lives of French citizens outside and away from Versailles particularly Paris and how this self-contained society of royalty and nobility at Versailles ignored and failed to recognize the warning signs of an underlying restlessness and dissatisfaction among the French masses (especially Paris which was located only about twelve miles from Versailles) which eventually resulted in its eruption in 1789 to become a full blown French Revolution followed by the Reign of Terror followed by Napoleon. A LITTLE CHAOS is only brief moment in the life at Versailles but it is a film which makes a nice addition to the three season (DVDs) of VERSAILLES the TV series available on DVD and online streaming.

A Little Chaos
Movie is xlent ! Kate winslet's best film to date! Matthias Schoenaert is superb in this as well. They complement each other very well. Alan Rickman is always xclent. The score is great. It just seems to get better everytime i watch it !!

A Perfectly Beautiful Story of Love during the creation of the Gardens of Versailles
I ordered this movie because I love EVERYTHING about it... a perfect movie...Music, story, costume, cast, dialogue, director, .... everything is memorable and purposely BEAUTIFUL.....

A most excellent Little Chaos
Since Feb, i have viewed this wonderful movie at least 75 times. Do you love grace, kindness, love beauty? This movie is more than all these. It is the very best of humanity. Alan Rickman is the perfect King of France and the owner of the idea of Versailles. For the greatest garden in the world, still. Thank all your people involved in this Creation of Grace. My favorite ever! Movie for the ages

A Little Chaos may have described a theory of gardening, but also an historic period,
Watching the passion and politics play out under the oversight of The King (Alan Rickman), I cannot think of anyone but Rickman, who could have directed this work any better. Poetic script, visually stunning settings.

Delightful Versailles garden building, romance, personal insightful drama.
Great acting and costumes, with scenery all around. I felt like I was living in the 17th Century! The creativity of it all amazed me with a strong woman in the lead character.
