Not Bad but Not Essential
I'm reviewing these horror/science fiction comics as a reader. As a package, it is nicely produced with excellent reproduction of 60 year old comics. But the comics themselves are not that great. These were produced just after the Comics Code went into effect, and are therefore dumbed down so that anxious Fifties moms would have no objection to them. They are full of trite moralizing and "lessons" that every twelve year old knows. Most of the artwork is mediocre, but some of it is quite nice.
