Product Information

Victor Joseph and Thomas Builds-A-Fire are brought together by Victor's father who saves Thomas from a fire that destroys his house and kills his parents. In close proximity all their lives on the Coeur D'Alene Indian reservation in Idaho, the boys could not be more different. Victor is the extrovert who excels at basketball and Thomas is the savant who lives with his grandmother after the death of his parents. The journey the two young men take to the home of Victor's estranged father in far off Arizona brings out of the past the remarkable events that brought them together.

I had been after this book for some time and was delighted to get it at a good price and it was a very nice surprise to find it had been signed by the author ! which wasn't mentioned in the description. Item was received in tip top condition weeks ahead of the expected delivery date but a touch more packaging - maybe a bit of bubble wrap ? around the book might have been a good idea ? Anyway I'm very happy. Thanks !

    Very well done!

    Love this movie, it's one of my cheer-me-up movies when I feel I'm bogged down with problems there's nothing like good humor to ease the pain. The characters are so well done and John Wayne's teeth I'm sure gave the Duke a pretty good chuckle as well. Sherman Alexie is a marvelous writer I'm looking forward to more of his work. Adam Beach and Evan Adams are very thought provoking and flawless in their performances, both are wonderful actors. I highly recommend Smoke Signals.

    Smoke Signals not just for stoners

    this movie was recommended to me by a log time chronic pot smoker he said it was really funny! so I thought what the heck, My wife and I both watched it sober, and it was good, connected with it right away would and do highly recommend smoke signals !

    Charm, engaging, excellent story
