Save your ears
These absolutely block out loud noises. I used them for range shooting and they were incredible. I also tried them in my deer stand but I wouldn't recommend them there. It's a little hard to tell what direction noises are coming from and I didn't feel as connected to the woods. I tested them by clapping and you can hear your hands come together but the clap noise is gone. I've also used them with an impact driver and they work there too. Definitely worth the price to save your ears. Side note, they have an auto shut-off after a while. I thought the batteries died because I hadn't read the manual... Oh, last thing, they fit great. Comfortable. Worked well.
Used it at FrontSight Firearms Institute, so there was A LOT of "bang!bang!" going on. I could easily hear and talk to others while the loud reports of firing were muffled. The internal audio tone to let you know how loud the mic is up is a nice feature.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Peltor TAC100 Amplified Ear Muffs Versus Their Latest Model
Having seen both models side by side as provided by a 3M sales rep. I found that the TAC100 model to be superior in several ways over their newest release. First, this model uses an on-off volume control knob; their latest model uses rubber coated tactile push buttons for power and volume up and down and has a speech synthesizer to tell you when it is powering up or down, in my opinion, technical overkill. The push buttons are hard to find when the muffs are being worn. Although their latest model has a thicker headband, it doesn't fold like this model making it bulkier to stow in a range bag. Last, the battery life of this model is far better than that of the newest model and it sells for more than the TAC100. Excellent ear pro for the price!
4 virtues of a good pair of hearing protection e-muffs are size, weight, NRR, and sound amplification. This set hits 3/4 out of the park! Size: very compact, doesn't interfere with shouldering my rifles and shotguns. Weight: Extremely lightweight, even with batteries installed. I've worn them for 3 hours straight and had absolutely no issues with it. If you want to shed more weight, use lithium AAA. NRR: Very good noise reduction for it's size. More expensive muffs (MSA Sordin, TCI, etc) have less NRR than the Peltors. However, you may want to double up with ear plugs for large caliber or indoor shooting. Sound Amp: This is where it's okay. There is a noticeable buzz from the amp; more noticeable at higher volumes. However, the sound reproduction is very good and the wind noise resistance is fairly good. You really can't go wrong with this set. Excellent value! If you pair them with the gel seals, they become even better! Be forewarned, the gel seals sold by 3M do not "fit" on these muffs (seal frame won't snap into place). What you can do is (warranty voiding) carefully peel the sponge liner from the original seal frame and the gel liner from the new seal frame and carefully place the gel liner where the sponge liner used to be. Does exactly what it is meant to do...
I bought these for use at work in a sometimes noisy assembly environment. They don't have the same noise suppression as a standard pair of muffs but are adequate for my purpose and the low profile is great for not getting in the way in tight confines. The sound reproduction (playing MP3 through the 3.5mm jack) isn't the most mind blowing but in fairness to the product I am not really their intended end user.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Just the right amount of audio and the shot is COMPLETELY silenced.
Best electronic muffs I have ever tried! I wear foam plugs (EAR ear screws) then put the new Peltor muffs on. Absolute quiet. After I'm out of the box, turn them on so I can hear range commands, etc. Light weight, helps keep ears warm, and just the right amount of slim so as not to interfere with butt stock coming up to shoulder and cheek. A must have
Never used ear muffs till I attended some different training session. Was to keen on the idea of battery operating mikes that would dampen the report of the weapons. Now I have two pairs and can’t believe how much I like them. Good fitting and comfortable
I bought these because the smaller ear covers to be easier to shoot with a rifle with ear space on the stock , it is better , but shooting indoors I need extra ear plugs to help with the noise These are great fitting and feel good when wearing them I’m thinking the 300 / 500 models will be better for the loud bangs Outdoors would be better if that was an optionBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
