Best Camera Ever !
I currently had been using a Nikon D 5100 series digital camera but really wanted a more"point and shoot" type without losing the picture quality and functionality of a larger size camera. Enter the Nikon Coolpix P900. It sold me with it's 2000mm Monster Zoom lens, it's wide angle lens feature as well as the Nikon brand. After reading the enclosed and also downloaded PDF file I have found usage very easy for even the least experienced amatuer photographer. The "near-field" function is just stellar, allowing the camera to download the pictures via a cell phone or laptops WiFi. It worked seamlessly. This camera will make you a better birder.
I use this camera for bird photography, mostly to aid in identification. I took it to Africa where three of us had this same make and model. It is really an amazingly useful tool. It is not designed to take world class photos for National Geographic. But I have taken some decent photographs and it has made me a better birder. The zoom feature allows you to ID a bird that is ridiculously far away. Or ID a bird that is badly backlit (aren't they all backlit?!) by using the D-lighting feature. I really like this camera. It is easy to carry it around with my binoculars and my scope. I use a Spider holster for the camera (https://spiderholster.com/product/black-widow-holster-kit/) and it is excellent. My binoculars will never again bang up against my camera. If you are into birding or other wildlife, get this camera.

A great camera that does it all
This is my go to camera for vactions as it is a no think all in one. Has enough settings to allow some creativity but this is mostly a snapshot camera for memories. . Better than your phone but not equal to a DSLR. Small sensor allows for extreme magnification. Lens is very good and the huge zoom range means that no other lens is needed. Long Lens plus easy to use features
Long zoom lens is what this camera is all about. Not only is it good for long distance work, but I like being able to compose a photo, cropping as I go. Long optical zoom means I get high resolution photos. Scenes and pre sets are good and allow you to get good photos in situations you are not familiar with like night landscapes and fireworks. The camera weighs more than the average point and shoot, but it is well balanced and comfortable (and less than DLRs with shorter lenses). Battery life is not a problem for a days shooting and controls seem to be right where they should be for easy use. I like the automatic switch between eye view and monitor view. The viewfinder allows me to support the camera better for long distance shooting. Excellant camera even for first time users
This camera takes the most awesome pictures of any camera that I have ever bought. Used it a few times to learn some of the features, then took it to Africa on a hunt and photo safari through Kruger National park. Just shooting out the windows without a tripod I was able to take wildlife photos of animals several hundred yards away and they look like they are 20 yards away and clear. 99% of the pictures were taken in auto mode/focus. All I did was zoom in. I would highly recommend this camera for anyone wanting to get into telephoto pictures and it also does great in macro.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Cool indeed!
Great camera overall. I'm a amature so keep in mind my review comes from that perspective. First of all I bought for the zoom feature, which overall works well, but only on manual settings. In the auto mode the zoom just does not want to focus which defeats the purpose of an amateur buying it for the zoom. But I am resorting to manual mode to zoom anyways!. You can not zoom while in slow motion video mode either. You have to zoom first and then put on slow mode, which kinda sucks. They don't give you any cables to trnasfer photos to dvd recorder, or look at videos on your tv, which also sucks! Your only choice is to transfer to your computer, then put on dvd, then put in your player. Too much effort envovled there. Once again I only bought this camera really for the zoom video mode so taking photos was not much of an issue with me. But this seemed like a better deal than buying a suler high dollar video camera. The micro feature is cool! I used that several times for some neat close up photos. Now you might want to kist forget about the accessories that come with this bundle because they are useless especially the tripod. The bag is not bad and I am using it But go out buy a nice tripod because there are lots to choose from. I think if I was a professional and I knew how to use things properly on this camera then I would give it five stars for sure. THE All Around Camera – Versatile Beyond Belief
If you want ONE camera to carry with you that can do about everything, this is it! The Nikon P900 is a Zoom camera with 83X Optical zoom. That means you can take close-ups of birds, flowers, and such from way far away. This camera takes Movies, Time Lapse Videos, and has Timed Exposure. If you're into all the settings, there are settings galore. But, if you don't know, or want to know, anything about the settings, put it on AUTO and shoot away. It takes fabulous pictures which will make the novice look like a pro. (Highly recommended by a former Professional Photographer.)

Amazing posibilities
I have a learning curve as this is my first quality real digital digital camera. Say Canon A-1 SLR 35mm film camera!! :) I would go closer to a 5 with my rating if it had a lens hood and an eyepiece that could be used to keep out glare from the viewfinder window which I am more comfortable with! Great zoom and good time-lapse feature
Takes clear shots of people 100ft away, looks as if they are standing next to you. Objects that are many miles away become visible. There are convenient menus for making shots with different exposure settings, time-lapse shots that are automatically combined into a movie, and video settings for half-speed up to 60 fps. Missing features: - time-lapse can't be done for any length of time. It's limited to 1 hour 50 minutes of shooting every 30 seconds, which produces 10 seconds of video. - there doesn't appear to be a "sport" fast shutter mode on the main dial.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great Camera. NIKON Coolpix P900
I own an SLR cameras with an assortment of telephoto and macro lenses. This camera is better than advertised. It is compact, easy to use and takes great photos. When traveling. the last thing I need is another bag of camera gear. The focus issues at 83x are an issue, but resolved with a tripod like the ones that came in the bundle. No complaints and have recommended the camera to others.
