Slim/compact, sturdy and functional, but beware if you are buying for a 380!!
I like this holster a lot. Its well made, slim and compact and doesn't stick out too far from your body like some paddle holsters do. Sits nice and snug against you so its easily concealed. But buyer beware... this is marketed as a fit for the Kimber Micro (380) and the Micro 9 (9mm). I own both of these pistols, so I bought two of this holster. The Micro 9 fits perfect. However, the 380 frame is slightly smaller, so it works, but there is a little loose play and the pistol will wobble a little inside the holster. But there is a quick and easy fix. Get some peel-n-stick velcro. Using the SOFT SIDE ONLY (not the stiff prickly side) of the velcro, use scissors to cut two pieces about one quarter inch wide by 2.5 inches long. Now look at the top of the holster. Just on either side of the raised channel that the front sight travels through, there is a strip about a quarter inch wide. Peel off the backing from the velcro and carefully place and stick one strip, inside the holster, on that little quarter inch wide strip just to either side of the sight channel. Careful with the placement... too far to either side of that narrow strip can cause fit problems. Done properly, this little trick will take up just enough of the extra space inside the holster to make the 380 fit quite nicely, take away the wobble, and also provide a nice soft cushy buffer between the holster and the top of your slide, which will help prevent wear marks. Honestly, it would be nice if Fobus had made one specifically for the smaller framed 380, but the fix is easy, cheap, and works like a charm. Overall, can't complain too much. Its a great holster, just requires a little ingenuity to make the 380 fit like it should. I can't say for sure about the fit of the Sig P238 and P938, I don't own them. But I would imagine that the p238 would have the same fitment issue.
