Winner of four Academy Awards including Best Screenplay (written by Horton Foote), and Best Actor (Gregory Peck), TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is a timeless film packed with beautiful scenes and meaningful life lessons. The story is told from the vantage point of a young girl nicknamed Scout (Mary Badham) whose widowed white father Atticus Finch (Peck), an attorney, decides on principle to defend a black man (Brock Peters) charged with raping a poor white woman. But the bigoted townspeople would rather lynch the accused than try him, and they make life hellish for the lawyer, his daughter, and his son Jem (Philip Alford). While their father is in the throes of the trial, his bright, inquisitive children learn a hard and unforgettable lesson in justice, morality, and prejudice, part of which requires overcoming an unfounded fear of their mysterious neighbor Boo Radley (Robert Duvall).

    Overall good condition/value but with a few caveats. Seller didn't know how to send extra images and there was a bit of damage that was cut off from the listed images on 2 separate books. Also wish there was a little more care on packing for a $100 and $40 paperback book but thankfully they seemed alright despite only being sent with packing paper to prevent sliding. Packing tape was coming off the box, causing the box to be open a bit. Overall okay though and completed my collection. Thanks!

    The ebay app was not allowing pictures be attached so pictures were texted to the buying showing multiple angles of the book, and buyer proceeded with the sale. Also books were wrapped and placed in abox offering protection

    Excellent. I had been after this book for some time and was delighted to get it at a good price and it was a very nice surprise to find it had been signed by the author ! which wasn't mentioned in the description. Item was received in tip top condition weeks ahead of the expected delivery date but a touch more packaging - maybe a bit of bubble wrap ? around the book might have been a good idea ? Anyway I'm very happy. Thanks !

    To Kill a Mockingbird Universal Legacy Series

    Very, very quality digital remastering of this film... This is likely my favorite film ever and I've been looking for closed captions as I am a bit hard of hearing... This rendition surpasses even what I had hoped for on every level... I could not be more pleased...

    Sad times!

    A little disappointed in the ending. Times sure were unfair to the black race, I sure am glad things has cut them some slack! We are all just humans, nobody is better than anyone else, regardless of what you think!

    I would highly recommend getting this movie.

    The movie and acting were awesome. And then the 2nd disc was a commentary by Gregory Peck and that kept my interest all the way,

    to kill a mocking bird

    One of the greatest movies ever. I read a good bit. I watch a lot of movies. This movie is one of my very favorites. I have worked, still work in the movie industry for 30 yrs tells a lot about the way people perceive other people according to their status in life.

    Magnificent

    To Kill A mockingbird. It is a classic. Well developed characters, suspense and the times are seen through the eyes of a child. Magnificent movie.
