Bernie
Before Matt McConaughey became a member of Hollywood's "A list" entertainers, he had appeared in a couple of films that could be found only at the grocery store selling for less than ten bucks.
The reason I bought the film was the cost (less than ten bucks at the grocery store) and the leading actor Jack Black. That's right folks, Jack Black.
Black is amusing in the various roles he has brought to the big screen-the one in my game room.
This Jack Black at his best. Who else could portray a sensitive caring mortuary cosmetician and funereal home director. Everyone in his small town knows and loves the guy. Bernie's just a damn nice person who reaches out to any and all in in need of a smile.
Unwittingly, he becomes involved with an older women. Can the almost saintlike Bernie melt the reptilian heart of the mirthless town crank?
You'll have to watch the movie, Please remember, you can go to the grocery store get some Cheetos and a ten buck movie!
I will mention that Mr. McConaughey plays the part of the prosecutor who is shunned by the towns people when Bernie does something that's a bit out of character.
It's different and kind of fun. Because of the mortuary theme, this movie may give kids the creeps.
