    A lot of times on eBay these sellers will use an entire roll of tape on a package this record was packaged in such a convenient safe way. The record itself is in perfect condition works very well just as was described. The price could not be beat. And the fact that I ordered it Friday night and it showed up Monday morning was sheer percection. Cannot beat that. Great seller and store will be using them again. l

    A man wins a huge lottery but dies from the shock of it. Two of his friends turn the tragedy into a triumph for their small Irish village.

    This is one of the funniest movies I've seen. It is also sad and heart-warming. I showed it to my World Literature classes because it is set in Ireland; and they liked it so much that I bought each of them a copy for Christmas! The climatic scene with the phone booth was a total shock, but you will be cheering.

    Still funny after all these years!

    I have wanted to own this DVD for a number of years but couldn't find it. This is the funniest story and laugh-out-loud fun!

    Favorite Irish movie

    Its funny, sad, heartwarming, and clever. You can just imagine living in the village with all these characters. The scenery is beautiful, filmed on The Isle of Man. The only thing that bothers me is that it is in widescreen format. It cuts off the very tops of the heads in close-ups. I've tried to change settings but nothing works. Be sure to use captions if you're not used to the dialect. You don't want to miss any of the dialog.

    This is a good example of what a man thinks about friendship but won't say aloud.

    This is a great story about relationship, between men, what a fella thinks but won't typically say to his closest friend (s). It has odd and quirky moments but the overall theme is endearing. It's a good watch and reminds us of why we endure friendship w/others.

    A classic that has stood the test of time...still hysterical & very entertaining!

    Waking Ned Devine is So Funny, delightfully written, beautifully shot over the gorgeous terrain of Ireland, and has such deliciously eccentric characters you can’t help but fall in love with these people and this movie. I actually bought it as a Christmas present for a couple who love to laugh as well as play the lottery & but had never seen this 20-year-old movie. I ended up buying a copy of it for them...and then buying this copy of it for my household. My husband and I watched it immediately...and laughed just as uproariously this time as 20 years ago when it first came out. It is indeed a classic...and now, I learned, a collector’s film.
