Reviews"This is a new departure for the Osprey Modelling series, dealing not with modeling a particular aircraft or tank but with the actual techniques used for all plastic modeling... All of the techniques here can be applied to any aircraft model - making this an ideal book for a novice modeler as well as a handy reminded of how some techniques work for those of us who don't use some of them very often. Very highly recommended!" -John Prigent,Internet Modeler(April 2008) "...this book is packed with useful information for the new modeler... Each of [the] chapters is amply illustrated, with the captions providing as much information as the text itself... For a novice modeler, this book will be of great use, as it presents a great number of useful tips in a single reference." -Chris Banyai-Riepl,Internet Modeler(April 2008), "As a plastic modeler for more than 50 yeras, I found this a handy source of ideas and hints-some of which may well show up in my modeling columns in future issues ofAviation History." -Dick Smith,Aviation History(May 2009) "Osprey's Modelling series shows how advanced modelers use their knowledge, skills and expertise to create incredibly and correctly detailed models of all sorts... Each book discusses how a variety of model kits are used to make authentic looking WWII vehicles... If you are looking for books that provide the high detailing to take your miniatures to the next level, you should check these books out." -Michael Koznarsky,Historical Miniature Gamer(Issue 11) "This is a new departure for the Osprey Modelling series, dealing not with modeling a particular aircraft or tank but with the actual techniques used for all plastic modeling... • The book for every scale modeler

Newbie or Old China Hand, you will find a superbly organized compendium of procedures, preparatory steps, substitutes for must-have tools, and finally an education in how to think about the assembly task that lies ahead of you. This is a FUNDAMENTAL and necessary book — the equivalent of both the musical scales and theories that lit up Coltrane and Bach and the extension of those things that produced a Beethoven. Yeah, it was pretty good.
