Updating the format
We watched “A Year in Provence” on the A&E Channel when it was first broadcast way back when , and because we enjoyed it so much we bought the series on four VHS tapes (one for each season), now updating to a more modern format. Although Peter May can’t speak much French it’s very entertaining as it’s easy to understand. I believe it was shot on location so the background scenery is great of the country side.

A year renovating a house in Provence.
This series was recorded on film. Apparently, no effort has been made to restore the film or the digital version. The tale was engaging but the book was better.

We are Peter Mayle fans, both his books and the video adaptations!
This was a replacement set to replace our original set which we wore out. This set was advertised as in excellent condition and so far it has lived up to the billing.

A lovely trip round the year in Provence.
This is a witty, well done miniseries that captures the flavour of the the original, delightful book. Very enjoyable. We own the DVD and have bought this one as a gift for friends.

Excellent
Had this set and lost one of the DVD’s. Was happy to find it. This is a delightful program based on the book. It is actually a true story. It is an adorable story line, acting is great. Loved John Thaw in the “Morse” series.

Yay! Nothing was broken!
I was so pleased to find this and it not cost over $100 or be in a UK format. Discs were in great condition. Love this series. Always think about it when I buy baguettes. Lol

Wonderful trip down memory lane
Terrific acting by all. Beautiful scenery. Dialogues sometimes hard to understand; it helps to have a knowledge of French.
