Very detailed general info but lacks specifics
I was initially very impressed on my first read like this is written for med students. But on re-reading it seems similar to new age writeups of healing stones. Take just the discussion of coffee on pages 136-7. Cites studies but doesn't tell you which ones so you can evaluate the studies and who funded them yourself. Has 20 pages of references by chapter at the back of the book ordered alphabetically by author. Says all kinds of things happen in the body from drinking coffee but doesn't say how much they happen and how those values compare to normal function or to other activities that cause these changes. Makes no mention that caffiene constricts blood vessels and whether that is good, bad or indifferent or how that compares to other activities or foods that constrict or dilate blood ... Like saying we are making the sky fall and this book will prop it up but never saying how much or how fast or who determined the sky is falling or what else in life makes the sky fall or props it up and who found all this out and exactly how.

The most complete source of inflammation information available today!
Everyone, yes EVERY living person, should be required to learn about this in school - it would affect the whole of humanity in the most positive nutritional way you could imagine... or better. Being a Dr., the author get's down deep into systemic micro-inter-cellular building blocks and reactions... very deep (yet very well explained). But she also gives the reader permission to skip over the heavy stuff and get to the practical application of nutritional healing (also very well explained) and illustrates how we are ultimately responsible for what we eat, what we do and the knowledge of how it can affect our health, our lives and the lives of our loved ones. It most likely won't be the easiest path on which to embark but I truly believe that THIS IS THE PATH WE ALL SHOULD BE ON (or at ... Excellent Source of Information
Detailed information on cause and cure for reversing autoimmune disease and healing your body. The author's personal life experiences along with others, photos, diagrams, charts, and studies support her research on the subject. Anyone struggling with an autoimmune disease or not will find this an excellent book for guiding you to better health through diet and lifestyle.

Very scientific
I received this through my local library and decided to buy it afterwards. I haven't made it through to the recommendations yet. The author is very thorough about the description of the immune system. It is very labor intensive to read this without a science/medical background but well worth it. Expect to keep a highlighter with you to keep track of different facts.

Excellent guidebook to the Paleo Approach
This excellent guidebook explains all about eating the Paleo way. I have several health issues, and I feel much better and have fewer symptoms when I eat the paleo way. And hopefully will avoid other health issues that are caused by our standard american diet. So sad to have relatives in ill health and overweight due to eating unhealthy food! Thanks to this book, I can explain the science behind why I'm healthy eating this wayThis excellent guidebook explains all about eating the Paleo way. I have several health issues, and I feel much better and have fewer symptoms when I eat the paleo way. And hopefully will avoid other health issues that are caused by our standard american diet.
