Should have bought one before
The Amazon Fire TV stick is excellent in all respects. It is easy to set up - plug it in and follow the onscreen steps. Once you realise there is no on/off button, the controls are intuitive. I already had several smart devices but found they occasionally froze due to relatively slow broadband connection. This seems to be much smoother with HD content. Amazing fun using the voice control too which also seems to work flawlessly. Overall I'm delighted with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to add smart capabilities to a TV or upgrade an older smart TV.

Possibly faulty Fire Stick
This is the 2nd of the Alexa firesticks I have bought. As I use it for additional purposes, I install add-ons. I dont use Alexa. My other Alexa stick still seems ok, but this one has started hanging and not starting at power up. Not sure of the reasons why, have tried resetting etc. As this is the bedroom one for watching boxsets, it doesnt get used as much. Firesticks arent easy to use right away, you need to learn how to navigate (and then how to install add-ons from youtube). But its a very neat product with no big boxes and power packs everywhere, although it would be nice if they could design it to work from usb and not need extra power from the usb adaptor for the mains. Streaming can be interrupted too, not fun when you are watching a favourite film. All in all i would still say get one, its worth having.

Astonishingly versatile
On very impressed by this although i wish i bought the higher performing 4k version as it's early an extra £10 . Anyway , with the addition of an hdmi splitter it works well with my legacy 5.1 A/V receiver . Very versatile in terms of the huge number of audio and video sources . I have now disconnected my terrestrial ariel .

small, friendly, fast and very good
Brilliant device, does need to go into an HDMI tv and have a socket to power up the receiver. You are bombarded with Amazon stuff, but it is easy to navigate and quick - set up with home wifi. There is 1 channel that eludes me which is NOW TV app - can not find how to get it on there - maybe designed not to. Works fantastically well with Bluetooth as well so you can hear on headphones or on a separate speaker system/amp that has Bluetooth input, or just leave it coming through the tv speakers. If I could get NOT V on it as well, that would seal the deal.

Fire stick is the best I can’t stop playing with it I have told all my friends about it and told them to buy one I have bought a second one
Loved it so easy to use and set up I would buy another one if needed

Solid performer
The 1st generation fire stick is getting a bit slow now in 2022 but if you are patient and wait for it to respond then it gets going. Some apps can jitter a little at the beginning of playback but this usually smooths out after a few minutes.

great product
mainly used for missed viewing , it,s turned the tv into something extra ,excellent product.no need for the extra cable that was an option to purchase with the stick, and made the package expensive.

Great product especially if you have Prime
Easy to set up but you must have an email address to get online and create an account. Great to use for free and better if you have an Amazon Prime account where there is free stuff such as films and series you can watch. Download Apps for watching normal TV and other Catch up sites such as BBC iPlayer.
