difficult carburetor...
the engine alone makes a good impression. but .... the carburettor is not good. the setting is very difficult! I have big problems to start the engine at all. in nice weather 20-25 C I have to adjust the carburettor every time, in order to be able to start the engine. I changed the carburettor. wt 989 after few settings runs the engine now around and starts after 2-3 trains. the motor I can not directly recommend, because it is standard for my feeling is not running well. which I had to change the carburetor and the engine only after "good" starts dampens the joy considerably. then the engine works well, but only in the upper speed range. in the lower to medium speed range, I have a small power hole, which I would deduce from the displacement.the engine alone makes a good impression. but .... the carburettor is not good. the setting is very difficult! Exceeded my expectations, except the pull start
All in all the 30.5cc 4bolt engine, isn't bad at all. Out the box, I tried firing it up, but had some "fun" trying to start it. Turns out I flooded it. I removed the spark plug, and did the "nitro rc method" when engines are flooded. Then put the spark plug back in. And fired right up. I let it run for about 1 min. And cut it off. The next day I went to start it for the break in, but had no luck starting it. I replaced the spark plug with another old one and it fired right up. Break in was easy. Power is insane, and with the high performance pipe I bought from this same place. It's just a beast, once you're in power band there's no better feeling 🤤 Now for the only down side about this engine is definitely the stock pull start. I only got about 5 full runs out of this engine until I ... All in all the 30.5cc 4bolt engine, isn't bad at all. Out the box, I tried firing it up, but had some "fun" trying to start it. Nice upgrade from stock engine
First get rid of the Torch spark plug that comes with it & get an NGK (CMR7H I think offhand) from the local auto parts store (maybe $5 or so). Use the factory settings for 1 tank of gas, just running on idle. Let cool for about 20 minutes. Start again & then fine tune the engine. I ran mine & only had to adjust about a 1/4 turn of the high or low speed needle in or out. Good motor, fast and reliable. Recomend if wanting cheap upgrade for power over 23/26 cc engines. Definitely more power then this 29cc too.
