It was sharpened well just as I asked, the scabbard holds the blade tightly which is actually really nice and it’s full tang and durable. It’s a thicker blade but that’s how it’s designed. The balance is approximately 3”-3.5” above the hilt. I wish it was a little closer to the hilt but that can be changed with sone small weights. The seller is super nice, responsive and stays true to their word!

A beautiful piece for a decent value, and is perfectly balanced for regular practice. It arrived in a Styrofoam package thoroughly encased in packing tape and still in new, pristine condition. The scabbard is tight and the wenge wood and brass fittings are attractive and of quality workmanship. Also the seller answered my questions in an appropriate timeframe.
