    Great deal, great movie

    A boy has a sad life. Bullied everyday in school, a mother who is very ill,an absentee father and a grandmother he thinks is mean,unfeeling and nothing like him. One day, a strange thing happens. A monster shows up,gathers him up and tells him that he'll be coming to call on him,tell him a few stories at different times and at the end of the story series he is to tell the monster a story that he doesn't want to share . He claims that he's here to save someone as well. The stories can be interpreted in more than one way and it seems the boy only seems to hear what he wants to hear as the moral of the story. As his mother gets sicker his father makes a short visit and more than anything he wants to live with his father if anything happens to his mother. Unfortunately he has to start living ...

    A Monster Calls

    I love Liam Neeson's roles and think he is a great actor. In this role he plays a monster, not an evil monster out to eat luttle children but to help a young boy deal with hos morher's cancer. I have had cancer three times and I can understand the mother as she goes through different treatments as she tries to stop the cancer. This is a very good movie telling the relationship between the boy and his mother in a very trying time. I highly recommend this movie.

    good family movie

    me and my son watched it one evening an found it to be entertaining and sad at the same time,the subject matter it dealt with just happened to some things that we were going threw as well,like the lost of a loved one due to cancer,it helps you to deal with your emotions and feelings,the movie is not what I was expecting but was still good. I recommend it to everyone so as to break away from the routine movies,so grab some snacks and tissues and see the movie

    I would say one of the best movies ive watched. If you are going yo show your child this movie, i recomend you show them it for coping purposes. The movie is very sad and tear jerking

    Great movie!

    I really enjoyed this movie. I loved the darkness of it, the love the son has for his mother, and the way the monster helps him get to the bottom of his feelings. Lots of emotions inside this movie. I cry every time I watch it.
