    Very effective thriller with gorgeous cinematography

    Although "Deliverance" is known for the "squeal like a pig" scene, the film as a whole is a great viewing experience. Unlike many films today, the actors performed their own stunts, learning how to canoe dangerous rapids and rock climbing. Shot in rural Georgia, "Deliverance" sets the mood for the "man vs. nature" scenario, where four friends are put to the test in order to survive. Based on the great poet James Dickey's novel, "Deliverance" is beautifully shot, well-acted, and stands the test of time.

    All Great Actors

    Burt, Did a great job, along with Ronny Cox in the First half of the movie. The second half Mr. Voight and Ned Beatty a the screen stars. The Film will bring to the edge of your seat at times. Burt makes every man proud.

    Great movie in that I still cannot get it out of my mind. Was not bored watching this in the theater and was not bored watching it again on my home theater.

    I hear banjo music paddle faster.

    Living in Northeast Georgia where the movie was filmed there are still a lot of locations still there . There is a book with the movie that is very nice.
