    Great book but good luck finding a church that is an Acts church

    I have been a born-again Christian since 1994. I don't care for Frank Viola or George Barna but you cannot argue with facts. I have never considered myself a Protestant because Im an ex-Catholic and I am not protesting anything. I know 1 pastor in my almost 30 years of being a Christian who allowed any questions at all and he is in South Africa. We traded one pope for another. Or elder rule which is nothing more than the College of Cardinals. Very good book. Good luck finding a church that allows you to ask questions. Paul never faulted the Bereans and they obviously asked a lot of questions. That's how you learn.

    Good Information/researched

    It is very revealing as to how churches have just followed traditions that came from pagans. People should question things more! I do wish it addressed more strongly the fact that Sunday worship is also pagan...that Saturday is the true sabbath.

    Title is a little provocative but content is right on.

    This is a book I first purchased several years ago. I think it is so relevant that I buy a couple of copies a year to share with other people. Great book.

    A must read for all that say they a true disciple of Jesus.

    From how people dress when they meet, all the way to how the building is laid out and how we give, this research shows just how phony and man made the vast majority of "Christian" practices are. And once you realize they are in place to keep men in power and the money flowing to the wrong places, you'll want to dump them all.

    Tradition vs. the Word of God

    This book carries a ton of "weight" giving factual reasons why many of the traditions we hold today, though not wrong in and of themselves, are not Biblical in origin. It is a challenge to read it and see through what is man-made as compared to what Scripture actually says. It is challenging because so much of how we 'do' church today doesn't exist in the Bible. This means these are traditions of men, and are to be viewed as such...held loosely as we focus on what GOD said in His Word.
