    Wanted to know I had plenty of amperage no matter how many locos were working or idling with sound on. Super happy with this power addition.

    Although running n gauge which ought to support many locos with standard NCE Power Cab, I decided on being ahead of the power curve by insuring I had more than enough amperage only layout. This booster was super easy to install and it allows me to not only run 3-4 trains but can have several other sound equipped locomotives idling with sound on without worrying I was over taxing my original Power Cab controller. Excellent addition.

    Great Product!

    I out grew my Power cab (3 trains only) and my layout kept resetting. 2 quick minutes plugging in the Smart Booster and all my problems are over. What a great add! One word of warning! Have a program track standing by with your old wiring into the program track. The SB5 can only program on the main....

    it has made a big differance on my lay out before i would get to may trains runnig and it would shut down now i have no trouble running many as i want

    also I can move my pro cab any where I want to works very good .

    SB-5 NCE

    Straight outa the box ready to use. Allows me to have all my dcc/sound engines on the layout at the same time without overloading my power cab. Great buy!

    I now have smooth power throughout the ...

    I now have smooth power throughout the layout. At first I couldn't get it to work, so I called NCE Tech Support, and the fellow there walked me through the setup. Turns out The locos on the track had been setup as a CONSIST, and the new SB5 had "no knowledge" of this. I deleted the consist with the old Powercab, and it all works fine now.
