The Sigma 19mm f/2 DN lens is designed for digital SLR cameras that are manufactured by Minolta and Sony. If you need lenses that can capture a moment in any setting, these accessories get the job done. Along the bottom of the housing, there is a thin, ridged dial that changes the focus. Above this mechanism, you’ll find the product’s design specification printed on a solid strip of plastic. Over this divider, another spinning mechanism runs around the base. This dial is much larger than the mechanism that's found underneath the solid divider. On the top of the base, the housing has several indented grooves that give the housing character.The technical specifications make the Sigma DN a great 19mm tool for travelers. The entire product fits nicely in a backpack because it’s just 2.4 by 2.4 by 1.81 inches. Great lens for pictures, not for recording.
good lens! The picture quality is is better then other other focal lens like sony 20mm The only problem is the auto focusing in the edge of the frame when recording which i wanted to do with this lens. Stunning...
Don't take my word...look at the rest of the ba-zillion reviews on this or either of the other two Sigma Art Series lenses made for the APS-C Sony. They all represent what is commonly thought of as the greatest and most stunning bargains in the photo industry. Evenly sharp, contrasty, compact as befits their application. Get 'em pre-owned for about $150 or new for a shade under $200. Low flare, low CA, very high sharpness and value, value value. Comes with a very, very nice bag. Golly...what's not to love? Stunning! Unbeatable value for money.
My go to wide angle for my A7RIII is the 16-35 which is a great lens that I mainly use for real estate photography. However, I wanted a smaller lighter lens for certain situations. For me the Sigma 19mm is perfect. I haven't done an extensive comparison of IQ yet but from what I've done so far it is certainly good enough.
