Good choice if your not a farmer
Just unbox and test by walking thru fence to verify proper operation. Put into service immediately and after a week, no problems. My dogs don't get wet tho. So if you have dogs that swim and love the rain then maybe up it to the sealed water proof unit. Looking at this one, I don't trust it would hold water out if it were fully submerged for any substantial period of time. And it's abit $expensive$ too. But if you have the fence unit already then they've got you pegged.

New collars don’t work as well as the old.
I ordered the collar to add to a system that I’ve already had for 6 years. The old collar and system has been working beautifully ever since we put it in. The new collar beeped randomly in the yard even when the dog was nowhere near the boundary and in the house which was 40 feet away from the wire sending my dog into a corner terrified. The collar was replaced by a second which didn’t beep at the back of the property meaning my dog would have an escape route. The company is sending me a third collar to try but this is frustrating. My original works great. It has to be these newer ones that just aren’t like the old ones. I would investigate a different company if you are interested in an underground fence.

Great collar for underground fence! I has a battery that you can change. Which is so much better than the recargables .

Real nice collar but i wished it was a heavy cloth, i guess the collar would not break easy. a good buy.

Works at great distance.
The collar works good for my 4 acre area even after a swim, however once my labrabor gets excited and off track, the pulses don't seem to phase him.

easy and durable
I have 2 black labs and it keeps them both in the yard with no worries after they learned there boundries.

Pricey but great
Great collar. Have had a pair on my dogs for 3 years. A little pricey but best I’ve found.

Good buy for price
Works good. Instructions were a little misleading at first. Thought you had to turn it off every use but found that you can just leave them on
