One of my favorite Castlevania games!!!
Castlevania: Bloodlines is no joke... one of my favorite Castlevania games. There is a certain appeal to all these great 2D linear, sidescrolling games, from the era of the 80's and 90's. Castlevania Bloodlines is unique, in that it for the first(and perhaps last time?) features a character that actually uses a SPEAR as the main weapon!] I know that may not sound like a big deal, but to me, this little detail(combined with accompanying movement sets to go along with Eric Lecarde) allows for all kinds of new ways of navigating the environment, formulating strategies, and basically allowing for a variety of gameplay that wasn't found in Castlevania prior to that(except in Castlevania: Dracula's curse). It also has a fair share of difficulty. Even though it does have a password system, ... Castlevania: Bloodlines is no joke... one of my favorite Castlevania games. Castlevania: Bloodlines may not be the least played in the whole series, but I feel like it is pretty overlooked. I honestly prefer it to Super Castlevania IV. I always enjoy picking it up and playing it. Bloodlines is an immensely fun and rewarding experience.

Growing up as a Nintendo fanboy in the 80s and 90s, I never gave Sega a fair shake. When a Castlevania game was announced for the Genesis (along with Contra: Hardcorps), I dismissed it as what could only be an inferior product, especially when compared to the legendary Super Castlevania IV--how wrong I was! While graphically this isn't quite up to par with what the SNES could produce, there are still some staggering effects on display here, from the reflective waters of the sunken temple to the rotating climb up the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It's also noteworthy that this is the Castlevania debut of Michiru Yamane, the composer who would go on to score Symphony of the Night, Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness, and several of the handheld entries later on (so you know to expect a great ... Castlevania Fan
What a great game, it brings back so many memories, and it was the first ever Castlevania game available on the Sega Genesis console. If you've never played this game, it's definitely worth the pickup to do so, the price has gone up on it over the years, but it's so worth it in my honest opinion.

We Must Kill Dracula!
This is an awesome game. It works well, the graphics, sound, and control are very well done. So far, I've beaten two levels, The Ruins of Castle Dracula in Romania and The Atlantis Shrine in Greece. Now I just have to defeat the gargoyle atop the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, then beyond.

Castlevania does it again
An excellent original Castlevania game for the Mega Drive/ Genesis. This game offers two playable characters each with their own unique moves. Excellent replay value. Astonishing graphics and music. A+++
