I'm trying these LeakTite brand bucket lids for the first time as their competitor brand 'GammaSeal' lids have a reputation for cracking/shattering within a few years of use. That was my experience too w the Gamma brand. Mine cracked easily, losing seal. Frustrating, because the Gamma brand are MORE EXPENSIVE than the LeakTite! Why would Gamma use such a rigid/fragile plastic? These LeakTite lids feel like a more flexible/durable material. A good sign.
