Designed for fingertip control of individual DCC-compatible model trains, even when running on the same track, this Hornby R8213 mains transformer and 15 Volt digital controller features an easy-to-operate rotary dial and a large, clear LCD readout. Made of pressed steel and plastic, this DCC unit can also pinpoint and manage separate solenoid-operated accessories including points. Excellent but limited
An excellent starter unit to begin using DCC but I have already moved on as the select has very limited powers to "tune" the chips. You could expand to the Elite and keep the select as a walkabout but the Elite is expensive. Beginners controller.

Easy to get started with Dcc
It works perfectly straight out of the box. Easy to understand with a comprehensive instruction manual. Runs my first two digital trains on same track no problem.
