Promising, but with some questions. Time will tell . . . .
This has to be taken as very preliminary, as I've logged very little time with this graphics card so far. The general consensus around was that it should be about the best GPU close to these parameters and cost that one was likely to find. I bought it *NOT* as any sort of gamer, but mainly to try to improve Whisper AI translation processing, which seems to be fairly demanding of computer resources. My main question is of value per $$, depending on what pricing you find on the used market. One possible issue I am noticing is partial-second blackouts before the screen recovers, which it always seems to do.
Pros: Rather Compact, suitable for small form factor systems. Smaller than several other brands / models of a 1050 TI implementation. A low profile bracket might not even be necessary ? No power cable required, runs off the graphics card slot alone. Quiet. Apparently gives off very little heat, so shouldn't require any extra cooling.
Cons: I wouldn't call it inexpensive. Would like to have a better understanding as to whether those "quick blink" blackoluts could be considered normal.
