Great sounding pickups.
I installed these into an Epiphone Les Paul Special, set neck. I had already upgraded the harness to vintage spec, but the stock pickups still weren't getting the job done. These have a great vintage sound and a pronounced classic p90 "quack" that I was looking for. Great when crunchy or clean. I gig this guitar regularly and keep it in open G tuning... These pickups are really good
These pickups sound great and don't have allot of noise, I shielded the wires coming out of them; I don't know if that had something to do with the low noise. Joe at guitar madness helped me out to for my install too! These are the sixth and seventh pickups I've bought from guitar madness and they are all better than expected. Quality P90s for a very low price.
These P90s are killer value pickups. They have that raunchy aggressive vibe that I love from a good P90 but if you turn down the volume they clean up very nicely. Guitar Madness delivers! For the price you will not do better. Of course they are a little less nice than Seymour Duncan or any of the big brands but they don’t cost a faction of what they ask for. If you are looking for solid value pickups G.M. Is where it’s at!
