Product Information

In this film that epitomizes the American love for baseball, Ray Kinsella, a struggling Iowa farmer (Kevin Costner), obeys a mysterious voice in his cornfield that tells him to replace part of his crop with a baseball diamond, resulting in the magical meeting of baseball heroes from the past, including Shoeless Joe Jackson, and the seven other Chicago White Sox players who were suspended for purposefully losing the 1919 World Series. Even after building the diamond, Ray continues to hear voices, and seeks the help of a hermit-like author in sorting out the mystery, which allows the confrontation of ghosts of other sorts.

    What a heart felt movie

    This is a great family movie. Terrific cast and excellent writing. I have owned this movie 9 or 10 times and when people come over and we have movie night this is one of the most popular and every time someone loves it and I let them take it home. Nothing better than family films like this one. I have found nothing to complain about and if you haven't seen it I think you should, its unforgettable and watch it time and again.

    BEAUTIFUL MOVIE !!

    HAVE NOT SEEN IT YET TO MAKE SURE DVD IS IN PERFECT SHAPE ..BUT I WOULD GUESS IT IS ,,,IT'S A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR MY HUSBAND ...BUT HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE AND I JUST LOVE IT !! THANKS

    Buy the 2 DISC version !

    But the 2 Disc version excellent value tons of content, costner at his home, the filming locations on and on great after film viewing ! fantastic ! excellent excellent value !
