It works and works well but with connector shortcomings
Traditionally, I have purchased and used CTEK chargers on my vehicles. However, due to my ever expanding vehicle collection, I needed a more economic solution for my motorcycles particularly. The Oxford can never match the quality feel of the CTEK but you need to keep things in perspective. The Oxford does the job and does it well for a significantly lower outlay. When I purchased my first one, I had doubts and reservations as it felt and looked as if it was only as good as it needed to be and would expire several hours after the warranty. Notwithstanding, 5 years down the line, the oldest of my Oximisers is still quietly and efficiently looking after my motorcycle battery. The biggest and most serious flaw is that of the 'Tamiya' connectors. These are simply not up to the job of repeated ... Traditionally, I have purchased and used CTEK chargers on my vehicles. The pins misalign and eventually push out of their respective plugs and ultimately make for a poor and unreliable connection. If Oxford were to address this, it would be a real winner.

Lightweight with great features!
Great item that was just what I needed to replace an earlier version of the same thing that had sadly charged its last battery some months previously. Nice and easy to set up and the display is very handy in order to see what is happening when a battery is being charged. A step up from the lights on the old version which lasted a good many years charging a mulitude of batteries in vehicles owned by me. Trickle charger
My old trickle charger after many years of use stopped working and a new one was needed. This unit is basically a new version of my old one with all the same functions.. my reason for getting this unit over others was the wrong connection function as i was building a custom system for my moterbike and if any connections were wrong there's a indicator light and no damage done... The unit is easy to use and goes into maintence mode when the battery is fully charged and monitors the voltage and kicks back in to trickle charge when needed. The only reason i have not given it 5 stars is because my old unit came with a wall mounting bracket which is very useful and there is no option for wall mounting the new unit...My old trickle charger after many years of use stopped working and a new one was needed. Not The Usual Oxford Quality
I've always liked Oxford products but not impressed with this trickle charger. The connector pins move around inside the connector so the connecter from the motorbike battery and the connector from the charger will not fit together. I have to use a precision screwdriver to straighten the pins, before they will allow the connectors to fit together. The rubber weather proof cover on the motorbike side connector is so hard to get to clip over the end too, My old trickle charger was far superior quality, (wish I hadn't let it go when I sold the bike it was attached to). The charger could have also benefitted from a bracket to attach the charger to a wall, as the charger body is so light it is very easily knocked off the shelf just by accidently brushing past the cable. Essential item in motorcycle mainainence
Quality item, easy to follow instructions and set up. Easy to read display with back light button. Ensures battery is topped up during winter and low usage periods. Only one grumble = mains lead very short !
