    Authors experiences growing up 50 years ago.

    Interesting insights into the black culture of 50 years ago - helps understands today. Lovely writing style by Ms Angelou. I want to read more of her writings. Don't know if I'd recommend it. Price fine for used book. Contents compelling -- not so much.

    Make you want to read it because people thing of bird in a cage

    The book was good a source for someone else that may have had or having the same problems. It make you think what people was about in those days and compare it today's time not a lot have changed.
