this book was required as a textbook for a Children's Literature college class
The book isn't one I would choose to read for fun. I ordered it because it was required for a Children's Literature class I am taking. The book itself is extremely long 1300+ pages. There is a lot of information conveyed that gives good insight into the history of and children's literature and the different eras in which literature was produced. I can't imagine anyone reading this book just for the fun of it though.
