But this is due to how Bose designed these earbuds (they seemed to be tied to the case in which they were sold to some extent) and is likely the best that can be done if you're not looking to replace the earbuds entirely.

I lost my original case and it was awesome until I left it in the back of my seat during my last flight home. The seller was thorough and gave me a refund immediately. The seller deserves a 5-star rating however. Definitely would order from this seller again.

When I contacted them about it, I got a quick reply, and apology, and quick shipping on the correct adapter with a tracking number. GREAT customer service!! I highly recommend this seller and would buy from them again!! A+++++
