A novel on the importance of keeping alive the memory of past events and people. When Victoria dies in a car accident she leaves a grief-stricken Matas Ferr., Cuando Victoria, la mujer con la que vivia, muere en un accidente de coche, Matias Ferre cae en una profunda depresion y abandona su trabajo de profesor de historia. Con el paso del tiempo consigue salir del abismo y obtiene una plaza de bedel en el Archivo Historico de Barcelona. Diez anos despues del accidente, el encuentro fortuito con un antiguo colaborador de Victoria lo pone en la pista de una investigacion en la que ella trabajaba cuando murio. Se trata del atentado anarquista del Corpus en Barcelona, que en 1896 provoco varias muertes, numerosos heridos y una represion brutal y desmedida que merecio una denuncia internacional. En el centro de esta historia surge el personaje de Ezequiel Deulofeu, presunto autor del atentado, cuya vida atrapara, mas de un siglo despues, al joven Ferre. Dos destinos cruzados que demuestran que el azar puede marcar nuestras vidas. Una novela sobre la importancia de no enterrar la memoria de los acontecimientos y de las personas que nos precedieron.
