It's possible to do two headlights with just 1/2 of it. I used a battery drill, and when sanding & found that holding the drill more firmly & more perpedicular reduced the tendency to bounce. A small trigger sprayer is handy to keep the headlight misted with water as it's important to avoid sanding when the surface is dry.
