I experienced no irritation or dryness while using this product on face, neck and chest, including upper and lower eyelids. I do use acids(lactic, glycolic, vit.C, etc)in my daily skincare routine and have been using OTC retinol products for over six years, so I may have a stronger tolerance than others. I only used this product for one month so I can't say much about its effectiveness on fine lines, but it did seem moisturizing. I've since switched to prescription tretinoin for better results.

Fantastic product..
My aged dermatologist tried me on Renova and all the various retinal creams and they ALL blistered my skin and I never got adjusted to any of them. He retired finally and I went then to a young new dermatologist that recommended Avene. I LOVE IT! From the first day forward it has never blistered or irritated me. I am 67 and have used Avene now 2 years and would have reacted by now I think had I been going to. It is just good. All the people in her office use Avene and they all love it and have pretty skin. My Rosacea has completely cleared up, All the acne-like places are gone. I just can't recommend it enough. I told the nurse how the Renova was like acid yet I could use Avene..."WHY?" and she said she thought it was the base Avene uses. It is some sort of pure mineral water that can ... Excellent product
Excellent product. My dermatologist recommended this product to me, used nightly in a 50 - 50% combination with night cream. It has gently exfoliated my skin over time so that any blackheads or other minor skin growths have disappeared. I am delighted with the way my skin looks. After buying it at the dermatologist office at a hefty price, I found it available here at a much more agreeable price. Promptly shipped, no problems.Excellent product. Great for sensitive skin
I hav e only used this about 2 weeks and putting it on every other night since I gave sensitive skin. I will start using it every night , once my skin adjusts. I love Avene products . I use their Retinal day cream too and like it a lot. Because Retinal products are drying to most skin types , I use an oil first and let it soak in and then use the retinal. It will take a few months to see if it is helping . I hav e only used this about 2 weeks and putting it on every other night since I gave sensitive skin. If you’re looking for a retinaldehyde, Avene is really good, but a bit pricey for most. I get it on EBay, as it’s usually a bit less if you look. This works faster than retinol and causes less problems for your skin. I’ve looked for other retinaldehydes and there are few. Most are more expensive. So far this is the second of this Avene 1%..It’s working well. I just bought and am using the .05% Avene for my neck, as it is more sensitive. Great product for smoother, younger-looking skin
This is a product I have been using for several years, ever since it was recommended by my aesthetician. It also helps in the reduction of brown spots caused by the sun, far better than any other product I have tried. It also reduces fine lines on the face.
