Before he co-founded the Grateful Dead, Bob Weir spent a summer working and living on a ranch in Wyoming, sparking a lifelong fascination with the stories and songs of the American West. Blue Mountain, Weir's first solo album in over 10 years, brings his musical journey full circle.     Have the original 2 cd version. Rhino Records had a xmas sale and I ordered this. It never got sent and is now out of stock. Saw this seller had it and ordered from her. Price was not much more than Rhino price. Excellent service from seller. Immediate thank you e-mail and communication about sending it. Great packaging by seller (lots of protection). Exactly as desribed (brand new). Nice info booklet. Everything Zep did for BBC. As a collector of music this was a must. Very happy with purchase

    A different style, but the song remains the same. Wonderfully relaxing.

    Though the trip continues to get longer, there are junctions along the road which never ends. Bob's new music continues to be relaxing and calming, but even more so. This CD has taken on a western style reminiscent of western music from the 40's and 50's with with a totally current feel. He's a genius at writing and composing great stuff and carries on the feeling that's always been part of the Dead. Highly recommended. Buy it, put it on, sit back in a comfy chair or sofa, close your eyes and let the songs take you away.

    Great Bobby Album

    This CD has been in my obit to hear for some time and it was perfect timing to pick it up and it's PERFECT,if one expects to hear the rocking Bobby well this isn't the one. As Bob says about this album it's from his experiences of campfires and listening and hearing those songs that are pure Americana. It's a great album to hear on a Sunday morning while scanning the 'net, coffee nearby and just reflect. In short Thank You Mr. Weir and here's to more songs to fill the air

    good

    kind of a country album, but what do you expect from an old dude. the lyrics are all country theme so the music should match. it's not crappy country though it is thoughtful and interesting. you can't expect dead style music here. if you're open minded you might enjoy it. i did

    Weir's 'Blue Mountain'

    I love this CD as it offers some retrospective music & memories of the childhood of Bob Weir. It is not classic Grateful Dead like 'Saturday Night' but more like the early Dead with their countryish influences. His voice has aged but it is ripe with true feelings & it resonates to this listener. Definitely a worthwhile purchase or download
