If, like me, you've got "Kind of Blue" and you're looking for some more Miles, then this shouldn't disappoint. It's quite a departure from anything that came before it, and because of that it's pretty hard to describe! Unique, peerless and experimental are the best words I can think of to describe it. Not only do you get the album, but you also get six bonus tracks, all across two CDs; another CD of a live concert; and a DVD of a performance. All are taken from 1969-1970 and feature jazz at one of its extremes. The packaging is lovingly put together in the form of a hardbacked book, with the discs stored inside each cover. The book content itself is very absorbing and beautifully presented, and the text is punctuated with a number of great images from Miles' life. It's just a proper homage to a ground-breaking piece of art. Fantastic value for money, and well worth your consideration regarding its addition to your music collection.
Bit late in purchasing above item (10 years),but what a great set especially the live c.d and dvd. My only gripe is it ain't easy getting out and putting back the discs. Good value
Not much to say except it’s the groundbreaking album that launched jazz fusion and opened the music of Miles Davis to a whole generation of rock music fans. Simply brilliant.
