A Great Classic Samurai Film That Set the Standard
The film is a classic and was a pioneer for this genre of samurai films, if not for all east asian action films that followed. The action sequences were as good as it got for a production in 1956 without much stunt work. The story line was good, but the acting by the main 5 or 6 actors was really excellent and carried the story line.
A classic Samurai gem. One after the other without loosing pace, A+ cinematography, nor message. Can’t figure out why it took me so much time to recognize it’s sincerity…
