I hope you will give yourself a real treat and read this book--it could change your life--and probably will!
I read this book 10 years ago. My husband did, also, although we had not met yet. Soon thereafter we DID meet online. I had been searching for a husband of faith and when we both wrote on our E Harmony questionnaire that The Shack was the last book we had read, I knew I had found my match! It has influenced my life more than any book I have read other than the Bible. If you have trouble identifying with a loving father--then THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU! If you were lucky enough to have a loving father (as I did) then THIS IS STILL THE BOOK FOR YOU. When the movie came out, I HAD to see it. When I did I had to reread the book, so I bought another copy (I had passed mine on) and realized I had never seen a book made into a movie that was more true to the original. By the way, I'm not giving this copy away--but I'm recommending it highly. I'm keeping mine for times when my spirit might need a lift again. IT'S THAT GOOD!!!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

I read this book a couple of years ago. High recommended!
This book has given me a different perspective on life. Some folks are critical of this book because it doesn't match up.with their theological beliefs. They need to remember that this is a novel. Of.course there are elements that don't fit into a scholarly perspective. However The Shack has given me much to think about in my own connection and relationship with God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. The things that are relayed in this story have literally changed my life for the good. I see others and painful situations in a completely different light. Astounding
One of my top three favorite books. Watched the movie first and glad I did. Would have been disappointed the other way around. The book contains much more dialog and interaction than the movie. This fictional book offers a compelling perspective on the age old question of "why". Everyone can relate to some portion of this book. It helped heal my past and gave me new insight for the future. Pleasant Surprise
After being blessed by the movie, I decided to purchase the written version, just to see how close the two were. At this time, I have not completed my reading of the book.
