Adolescent power fantasy
If you just want a good sword & sorcery romp that doesn't take itself seriously, but Heavy Metal was too short & didn't have enough plot, and the Evil Dead movies were sorta corny, this is what you want. Six episodes long, perfect for a teenage sleepover or evening binge-watch. Some censored nudity, a bit of lukewarm swearing; adequate fanservice for both sexes.

HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF THIS ANIME...GREAT STORY...LOTS OF HUMOR AS WELL AS ACTION TOOK A CHANCE IN PURCHASING THIS "NEW" UPDATED VERSION AS I STILL OWN THE OLDER FIRST GENERATION DVD OF THIS TITLE...I WAS HAPPY TO FIND THAT IT IS A DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT OVER THE OLD VERSION...THE SUBTITLING IS A LOT MORE ACCURATE..THE DUBBING AS WELL...THOUGH I STILL PREFER THE ORIGINAL VOICE (IN JAPANESE) OF "DASHU" AS WELL AS SOME OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS AN EXCELLENT ANIME!!
