No frills, just superb accuracy and speed
My 33478a is at least 20 years old and works perfectly. Superb accuracy. There's no bells and whistles on these- you can measure AC/DC voltage and current, and resistance, and that's it. No math functions, memory, continuity, etc. But you can measure anything from 300V down to 100 -nano- Volts, with the autoranging settling in to the correct reading in under a second. HP 3478A Digital Multimeter
Beautiful meter. Typical Hewlette Packard quality. May not be 'State of the Art' but this kind of measuring equipment is ageless. Good accurate meter, but...
1st off check the battery, OK, tested some voltages, again, OK. Then I checked all my test leads to see if any would fit in the front pkanel jacks- no go. not a one of my test lead sets will seat in the jacks. Now I am searching for leads that will work. Solid DVM Choice
Older design DVM but still a solid bench-top performer. Arrived working correctly and within calibration. Excellent 4 wire ohms performance, good thermal stability. Excellent value
The display isn't great to read, but it's acceptable, and it's a high quality benchtop dmm. I recommend it with a caveat: if you're on a budget, it's a far better choice than a no-name meter with a sexy display and bad qualityBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

As good as any of the Fluke or BK meters.

Terrific bargain bench DMM
The 3478A shows the same value(s) as my Fluke 8842A and HP 3455A. It has turned into my go-to DMM. Highly recommended for the bench. The LCD display isn't "LED" bright but is clearly visible. These 3478A's are a terrific bargain if you find a clean one.

Bargain high quality DVM
