    constantly rated as one of the best filters on the market, no brainer to use on my Gl1800

    Independent reviews of filters rate this as one of the best due to a bunch of factors, materials used in construction of it, type of gasket material, filter material and amount of it inside. it also is a bit bigger than the normal OEM filter that comes on the bike yet fits perfectly. Purolator makes 3 diff types of the same size filter depending on oil types used. I run a full synthetic oil in my Honda Gl1800 and the manufacturer (Purolator) points to this filter as being the best of the 3 for my application. Very happy with (non scientific) results of oil changes and examining old oil using this type of filter for almost 5 years. This item does not seem to be available in Canada anymore so buying from e-bay and getting them in small lots shipped right to my door and getting them cheaper ...

    Item NOT as described!

    I did receive some good customer service when I called the seller about this issue. But the problem is these filters might be factory seconds. They don't come in the octagonal box they come in the square box. Also, the description says new item in an unopened box. that Was not the case. Each of the boxes had been opened before and one had a tear across the lid as if it had been opened roughly a couple of times. I say factory seconds because the filters themselves have scuffs and some light scratches on the outside, the exterior, of the metal filter. Overall I wished I had purchased in person instead of ordered on eBay. I have no reason to believe the engine oil filters won't perform as designed. It's just these peripheral issues are frustrating aren't they?

    A!ways used Purolator filters when I could find them. All the filter reviews rate these at the the top.
