Additional InformationBilly Wilder directed and co-wrote this bitterly satiric comedy-drama which turns a jaundiced eye towards both the news media and its consumers. Chuck Tatum (Kirk Douglas) is a talented but short-tempered reporter whose fondness for booze and unwillingness to bow to authority has cost him jobs at some of America's most prestigious newspapers. Marooned when his car breaks down in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he embarks on a series of minor assignments until a local bigwig is trapped in a mine. Tatum seizes the chance to 'big up' the event and a media frenzy ensues, but can it be controlled?

Ace in the Hole (Masters of Cinema) Blu-Ray & DVD.
3 discs are included. Great value for money. The quality of the DVDs are excellent. Classic movie. Unfortunately, a part of the inside of the DVD case was damaged, but I can live with it. Overall excellent product, an i will look out for more of the kind in this 'Masters of Cinema' series.
