Don't rush the setting up!
This is a good product, particularly at a second-hand price. Setting up via the app wasn't as straight-forward as I'd hoped, as my PlusNet modem / router doesn't allow me to turn off the router. Though I turned off the WiFi (which should have been enough), the app kept asking for the ISP broadband login and password - clearly irrelevant to it, as that was being handled by the modem. However, a quick search of the internet turned up where I'd gone wrong - I'd plugged the cable into the WAN port on the modem when it should have been one of the standard LAN ports. The post also said I should plug the other end into one of the LANs on the XT8, but in fact it worked fine on the WAN. I chose XT8 units because they each have a USB 3.0 port, alongside 3 LAN's. That meant I could add an old non-wireless printer, an HDD docking station and 3 non-wireless desktop pc's to the setup - all working ok.

Simple, effective and improved our WiFi throughout
This mesh network was easy to setup and install, has great controls (via the app) and has unquestionably made our Virgin WiFi faster, more stable and has a greater reach throughout our home. (Note setup is Virgin router as modem only and XT8 as mesh WiFI network - fairly standard really). We also like how that the design is more conspicuous versus other routers.

Great value for money
I used to have deco m5 which to be honest was excellent but I upgraded to this And I am more than happy only 2 devices and ground and second floor and delivers almost full of my available speed to the top floor I get 900mb to the ground and 825 to top floor...streaming and 3 kids playing video games with no issues

SKY UK ONT Setup
I set this up to replace a SKY Hub connected to FTTP ONT. I experienced difficulties using the App. To get it setup I had to manually select the router default Wifi, entered the router IP address in a browser and do the set up from there, via connecting the router to the old sky hub via an ethernet cable to complete the set up (DHCP 61 option). I wasted hours using the App and had to restore the boxes to factory default.
