Great dash cam with driver assistance features
The Garmin X310 is high quality dash cam with 4k resolution which allows you to easily read license plate numbers. It is small in size to allow mounting anywhere on the front window. It has lane departure and front collision detection. I have not had a chance to use those features yet. My car doesn’t have these driver safety features. That was one of the reasons that I purchased this unit. The dash cam is a little overpriced, but I got a great deal on EBay. Another negative is that you must use a Garmin power adapter if hardwiring it to your vehicle. In addition, you cannot extend the USB-C cable that plugs into the dash cam. Garmin has modified the cable’s characteristics to prevent the use of non-Garmin cables.
