Fun kit, would recommend it, but its not too detailed
I liked this kit, it is very cool, but not perfect. It had a lot of flash to trim off. I had to drill out the front wheels to accept the wheel pins and the hood didn't fit too well. It didn't have as many detail parts as many AMT kits, such as mirrors (inside and out), no lower rear fender trim pieces (that Chevy used to cover the paint line below the side trim), no full length dual exhaust option (molded on single exhaust), sparse details in the engine bay, interior tub had rear seat and sides molded in place (makes it harder to paint details), I would prefer chrome centerline wheels instead of the white molded ones provided, would have liked more mag wheel options… Having said that, the stock wheel covers and wide wall tires that came with were great, the exterior molding details are good and can be painted easily. No fitment issues (other than the hood). Went together well. I would recommend this kit, but buy it for what it is.

1955 Chevy 1/25 scale model.
I got this remembering how much joy that I got building model cars in the late 60s and early 70s. I was between 9 and 14 and but this model was very substandard compared to what I was used to. The parts were too tiny in many cases, the parts did not fit well and I guess there is a big difference between 1/25 and 1/24 scale. The doors did not open nor the trunk. I still have a couple of the cars from my youth and they are so much better than this thing. I am not sure how a kid would build this now...it would make them use their device more rather than building something that is nearly impossible to do well. Very sad and disappointed.
