  • This will become a favorite for your children and you!

The story is GREAT! It will remind you of The Little Red Hen as the aging gator tries to make a gumbo like his mother used to make. Because he is older, he can no longer easily gather and catch all the ingredients he needs to make the gumbo he is craving. The other animals make fun of him as he continues to recreate his mother's gumbo. Someone has the last laugh! You and your children will love the story! The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because in spite of the seller rating the book as "very good", the previous owner's name was written on one of the early pages and another page had writing cut out and library stickers. That should have been noted in the listing.

Such a fun story. You need a Cajun accent for it.
